Hear the inspiring story of Mariette Doduck, a child survivor of the Holocaust, whose compelling narrative will illuminate the importance of remembrance and education in shaping a more tolerant and inclusive society.

Mariette Doduck is a passionate community leader and committed Holocaust Educator. Mariette was born in Brussels, Belgium in 1935. As a child, Mariette survived the war in hiding. After the war, Mariette came to Canada in 1947 as a war orphan. Mariette has received numerous awards for her community leadership work and activism. She is a cofounder of the Vancouver Holocaust Education Centre (VHEC). As a VHEC outreach speaker, and author of this powerful memoir A Childhood Unspoken, Mariette has shared her experiences of the Holocaust with thousands of students and public audiences around the world.
