For Kindness Week, PJ Library is partnering with the Labour of Love Project, which provides labour support bags and personal care items needed by the city's underserved moms going into labour. Many of the moms who are served by this project include women who are newcomers, adolescent moms, survivors of trauma.

Family-friendly activities include: making a handmade toy for baby, making encouragement cards for the moms to be, making wall hangings for baby, packing labour bags as well as PJ storytime.

February 26, 1 - 3 pm   Soloway JCC, 21 Nadolny Sachs Pvt.

This project supports positive parenting and helps to mentor healthy families in Ottawa. Families will have a hands-on meaningful day of volunteering and learning the values of chesed (kindness) and tzedek (justice).

We thank Chair Robyn Aaron, founder of the Labour of Love Project for her leadership and contribution.
