The Jewish Federation of Ottawa is proud to launch the Jewish Educators of Ottawa (JEO) support network, designed to foster a community of Jewish educators who can learn together, support each other, and collaboratively address challenges such as antisemitism in Ontario schools.About the network: JEO will offer a series of programs throughout winter and spring 2025. These sessions are built in partnership with dedicated professional leaders in our community and aim to provide meaningful opportunities for professional development, collaboration, and support.

Join mental health advocate and expert Leanne Matlow for a keynote presentation and Q&A tailored specifically for Jewish educators. This session will focus on strategies to cope with the emotional and educational impacts of events like October 7 on Jewish students and educators.
Leanne is a cognitive behavioural therapy counsellor specializing in anxiety for children and adolescents. With a background in teaching and guidance counselling, she combines her expertise in education and mental health advocacy to help parents and educators address mental health challenges. She is the founder of the annual Mental Health Empowerment Day symposium and a recognized community leader.
