Sam Laprade

Sam Laprade is an award-winning broadcaster, professional fundraiser, author, and community volunteer known for her ability to connect people through meaningful conversations and compelling storytelling.

With more than 35 years of experience in fundraising, media, and municipal politics, Sam has become one of Ottawa’s most recognized voices in philanthropy and community engagement. She has helped raise millions of dollars for organizations including The Ottawa Hospital Foundation, Ottawa Humane Society, and Ottawa Mission Foundation, and currently works as a strategist with Gryphon Fundraising.

Sam is also the creator and host of An Hour to Give on Rogers TV and former host of The Sam Laprade Show on CityNews 101.1, where she shared stories that mattered to communities across Ottawa and the Valley.
