Dear friends,

Our beloved homeland is at war. Our hearts are broken.

I sincerely thank you for indicating that you planned to come to my farewell L’chaim later today, but we are cancelling. Now is the time for mourning, praying, solidarity and for tzedakah.

I hope to have the opportunity to say goodbye to you in person on a more informal basis in the days ahead. 

It has been the honour of my life to serve Ottawa’s Jewish community – thank you.
