Background: Jewish law supports people’s use of reproductive technology in several ways. The technology not only helps fulfil the commandment to "be fruitful and multiply," but also helps to build inclusion by allowing all people, including a single person, same-sex partners, or non-heteronormative individuals, an opportunity to have children, thereby changing what it means to be a Jewish family.
